Bishop’s Centenary ‘A’ rugger girls stay perfect
Angel Cooper continued her impressive form by scoring all three tries and a conversion to lead Bishop’s Centenary College ‘A’ to a comfortable 17-0 blanking of Bishop’s Centenary College ‘B’ in Round Three of the 2018 Secondary School Girls Rugby League continued at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, on Wednesday.
It was the third win from as many matches for Cooper and her team-mates who defeated Bishop Anstey High School 5-0 in their opening match of the season followed by a 14-0 triumph over Holy Name Convent (Port-of-Spain) ‘A’ 14-0.
Also on the day’s programme, Providence Girls High School, who dropped Holy Name Convent ’B’ 21-0 in their first match, won for a second time in as many outings, 7-0 over Holy Name Convent ‘A’ 7-0 with Kyiala Simon scoring both try and conversion.
And in the other match played, Bishop Anstey with a try each from Gianna Roberts and Babi Oura defeated Holy Name Convent (PoS) ‘B’ 10-0.
St James Government Secondary School are the defending champions after they became the fourth school to lift the title in six years last year, courtesy a 15-1 defeat of Bishop Anstey ‘B’ 15-5 in the final. Matches continue next Wednesday at the same venue.
