Glamorgan vballers improve to perfect 3-0

Glamorgan men and women maintains their 100 per cent winning record when the Flow Premier Division of the T&T Volleyball Federation League competition resumed after the carnival break at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo on Saturday.

The Glamorgan men’s team led by national player Ryan Stewart battled past BIG South East Port-of-Spain (SEPoS) 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, while Southern United Volleyball Academy defeated Technocrats 27-25, 25-19, 27-29, 25-21.

SEPoS men had started off the weekend round of fixtures with a 25-19, 25-12, 25-18 win over Southern United Volleyball Academy on Friday.

In the women’s competition, Glamorgan swept past SEPoS 24-26, 25-12, 25-16, 25-12 and West Side Stars humbled Technocrats 25-19, 25-15, 25-18.

Matches will continue on March 11 at Maloney Indoor Sports Arena, Maloney from 6pm when T&T Under-23 men’s team, currently preparing for next month’s Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association Championship in Suriname comes up against Southern United Volleyball Academy.

This will be followed by two more matches at the same venue on Sunday March 25, featuring Glamorgan and Technocrats women from 5.30pm, and SEPoS versus Toco Youth Volleyball Academy men, two hours later.
