Romario Nelson netted the lone goal as Caledonia AIA stunned three-time defending champions San Juan Jabloteh in Round Two of the 2018 Flow Youth Pro League at the San Juan North Secondary Ground, Bourg Mulatresse on Sunday morning.

In a very evenly fought contest Nelson banged in the decisive item in the 53rd minute to improve Caledonia AIA to maximum six points after two matches, the same as W Connection which downed Club Sando 4-2 at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva led by a brace from Molik Khan in the third and 66th minutes.

Dantaye Gilbert added a 44th minute penalty, and Ethan Trotman, a 52nd item for W Connection, after Joshua Mason and Jaylon Brereton had given Club Sando a 2-1 lead with their strikes in the eighth and 14th minute respectively.

Police got a double from Nathaniel O’Garro (18th & 52nd) and one from Nathaniel Carrim (69th) to hold off Defence Force 3-2 at Frederick Settlement Ground, Caroni to be one of four teams on three points along with Pt Fortin Fortin Civic, Central FC, Jabloteh and MIC St Ann’s Rangers.

Pt Fortin had the biggest win on the day when it hammered MIC St Ann’s Rangers inspired by a beaver-trick from Kern Smart, while Luke Phillip, Jaeden Henry and Taye Simon added one each.

However, in the Under-16 and Under-18 Divisions, Jabloteh registered similar 3-0 wins over Caledonia AIA to maintain their respective perfect start to the season.

In the Under-16 age-group, Jabloteh is two points clear of W Connection, Pt Fortin Civic, Police and St Ann’s Rangers, and in the Under-18 competition, Jabloteh is joined at the top by W Connection which eked out a 1-0 win over Club Sando thanks to Shoaib Malik’s 73rd minute strike.
