Grant shoots Police into Jean Pierre semis

Gursher Grant was a dominant force to lead Police past TSTT 24-16 in their Courts All Sectors Netball League Championship Division Jean Pierre Challenge knockout quarter-final at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya on Monday night.

Grant tallied 20 goals from 24 attempts and Jeselle Navarro chipped in with four from nine for Police, 11-9 ahead at the half-time internal of the 40-minutes contest while Chantael Perry led TSTT with 11 goals from 11 attempts.

In the Retro Division, Police was also in winners row as they improved to 3-0 with a 43-6 blow out Harlem.

Former national duo, Donna Charles and Beverly Hernandez were the main contributors for Police with 31 and 12 goals from 38 and 17 attempts respectively.

And in the other Retro Division match, Bermudez and TSTT battled to the first draw of the season, 20-20.

On Tuesday in the Alternative Division, Fire Service improved to a 2-0 record thanks to a 38-21 defeat of MIC Tigers inspired by goal shoot, Chelsea Delecia’s 30 goals from 44 attempts, while Police Youth Club stayed top with five points and a 2-1 record after doubling up on Defence Force 32-16 with Kaliyah Cooper converting 18 of 24 attempts, and Cheryse Aguilleria 14 from 21.
