Glamorgan enjoys perfect vball start
Glamorgan served off the 2018 T&T Volleyball Fedaration Flow-sponsored Premier Division with wins in both their men and women division matches on the weekend.
On Saturday at the Southern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Pleasantville, Glamorgan men battled past Southern United Volleyball Academy 25-17, 25-17, 16-25, 25-13 in the feature match of the opening day of competition.
When action began earlier in the day, West Side Stars brushed aside Big South East Port-of-Spain (SEPoS) 25-11, 25-20, 25-10 in the women’s competition while in the first men’s encounter, SEPoS men after losing the first set by default after their late arrival, defeated Technocrats 25-18, 25-23, 27-25.
A day later at the Central Regional Indoor Sports, Arena, Glamorgan men and women were both in action and came away with wins against, Technocrats 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 and West Side Stars 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.
In the two other matches played on Sunday, Technocrats outplayed SEPoS women 25-19, 25-22, 25-15 and the national Under-23 men’s team in training for the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (CAZOVA) Championships in Suriname in march, bettered Toco Youths Volleyball Academy.

Men: Glamorgan vs Toco Youths, 10am; Technocrats vs T&T Under-23, 12 noon.
Women: Big SEPoS vs West Side Stars, 2pm; Glamorgan vs Technocrats, 4pm.
