Queen’s Park looking to stay top
Leaders Queen’s Park will hope for another win in round four of the Shanghai Construction Group Premiership One National League, as defending champions Merry Boys are just eight points behind. Queen’s Park leads with 67 points, ahead of Merry Boys (59) and Jenexcon Tableland (57). Queen’s Park will face fourth placed Caldrac, a team looking to rebound after a disappointing showing in round three. Caldrac had a poor batting effort, posting scores of 53 and 167 in a nine-wicket loss to Tableland.
On the other hand, Queen’s Park will look to continue its momentum after a clinical showing against bottom placed Esmeralda. The Parkites eased past Esmeralda by an innings and 57 runs following top performances from Petrock Nicholas and Khary Pierre. Nicholas scored 110, while Pierre took 5/48 in the second innings. In other matches, Merry Boys will fancy its chances against Esmeralda, Jailal Enterprise Victoria will face Tableland, Powergen tackles Preysal, while Alescon Comets and Clarke Road will square off in a bottom of the table clash.
