Rejoicing at Adam Smith
Under the theme A City in Adoration, Port-of-Spain Give Praise, the Port-of-Spain City Corporation—in collaboration with Radio Isaac 98.1FM and its parent company, the Family Focus Broadcasting Network—hosted a Gospel Night at Adam Smith Square, Woodbrook on Saturday.
The concert was one of the many events planned under the theme A City in Positive Transformation in observance of the 102nd anniversary of the restoration of the Port-of-Spain Corporation as a municipal authority in the city of Port-of-Spain.
The evening’s programme, which was free to the public, featured a number of local gospel performers including Kern Tyson, Rev Angela Williams, Sean Daniel, Blessed Messenger, Christianne Elcock, Franz Lamkin (Delamo), Christopher “Tambu” Herbert, Denyse Plummer and the Woodbrook Pentecostal Church Ambassadors for Christ Steel Orchestra.
Among the specially invited guests were Dr Lutz Hermann Gorgens, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and former government ministers Joan Yuille Williams and Donna Cox.
